Technical Parameters

Variable frequency alternating current (AC) must generally be generated through a direct current (DC) inverter. Therefore, the power used in a variable frequency servo system typically comes from a stable DC power source, which can be a battery pack or a rectifier that converts AC to DC.

With a stable DC power supply, generating variable frequency AC output requires a variable frequency drive (commonly known as a "servo drive") as an intermediate power conversion device. The variable frequency servo drive used in a servo system is not significantly different in its working principle from a general industrial frequency converter. However, because the equipment it serves has more stringent requirements in terms of operational accuracy and dynamic performance, it often exhibits more aggressive control characteristics (e.g., a higher frequency response bandwidth). Consequently, integrated motion feedback ports have become standard features of servo drives.

In our High Speed Door Inverter Servo System, the transmission actuator that converts variable frequency AC power into mechanical power is typically a type of motor, similar to general variable frequency drive technology. However, to achieve superior dynamic response characteristics over a wider speed range (especially at low speeds), variable frequency servos typically use permanent magnet synchronous motors with integrated motion feedback.

In the process of transmitting the output power of a rotary servo motor to the final motion load, the motion control system often requires various servo-level mechanical transmission components, such as couplings, reducers, synchronous belts, and lead screws.

Variable frequency servos also require feedback devices, namely encoders, which are essential for all servo motion control systems. For rotary servo motors, a feedback encoder is typically installed at the end of the shaft; for linear motors, a linear encoder and a linear scale are used. Sometimes, the servo system may use more than one encoder for feedback at a certain load position to reduce measurement errors caused by intermediate transmission links, thereby further improving the system's feedback accuracy.

In addition to the high-performance drive and feedback devices mentioned above, various products and technical components are often required, including controllers, input/output (I/O) modules, sensors, software, networks, security systems, connectors, and cables. This constitutes almost a complete equipment control system.
