Industry Prospects

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly pointed out that by 2035, we must basically achieve new industrialization, firmly focus on the real economy for economic development, strive to promote the process of new industrialization, and accelerate the construction of a manufacturing power. As a traditional industrial province, Hebei has set a goal to implement national policies, that is, to build an advanced manufacturing base with global influence with Beijing and Tianjin by 2035. In recent years, Hebei has actively cultivated nearly 300 county-level characteristic industrial clusters. The provincial capital Shijiazhuang is aiming at the goal of breaking through one trillion yuan in economic output and accelerating the construction of five 100 billion-level industrial clusters.

In order to further promote industrial development, in 2024, the State Council issued a notice on the "Action Plan for Promoting Large-Scale Equipment Renewal and Consumer Goods Replacement for New", aiming to accelerate the renewal and transformation of equipment in key industries. Against this background, Hebei's industry takes energy conservation and carbon reduction, ultra-low emissions, safe production, digital transformation and intelligent upgrading as important directions, and vigorously promotes the technical renewal and transformation of production equipment, energy-consuming equipment, power transmission and distribution equipment, etc. As an important policy-oriented event, the "Hebei International Industrial Expo" serves the entire industrial chain of the manufacturing industry and becomes an important bridge for domestic and foreign suppliers to enter the Hebei market.

Exhibition Introduction

"Hebei International Industrial Expo" is one of the key industrial exhibitions in Hebei Province rated by the Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce. The last exhibition was 20,000 square meters in size, and an industry forum was held during the same period. The exhibition focuses on deepening the entire industrial chain of industrial manufacturing, based on industry development, and closely following industry needs, aiming to create a professional platform for trade exchanges in the industrial manufacturing industry chain in North China and surrounding areas. The 8th Hebei International Industrial Expo in 2024 will be comprehensively upgraded on the basis of previous successful experiences, vigorously expand publicity, and increase the effectiveness of the exhibition.

The 2024 Hebei International Industrial Design Week Shijiazhuang, Qinhuangdao, Dingzhou, and Xinji sub-venues have been launched one after another. Focusing on the characteristics of the industry and future development, they deeply link high-quality design resources at home and abroad, promote the deep integration of design and manufacturing, and help the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry. Song Xiangdang, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Wang Hefu, Second-level Inspector, and Chief Engineers Hao Lanhui and Zhang Qingliu attended the relevant sub-venue activities. The Dingzhou sub-venue is themed "New Quality Design, Dingchuang Future", focusing on sports goods, cultural creativity and other fields, and holding industrial design innovation achievements exhibitions, industry × design docking meetings, international industrial design summit forums and other activities. The "Dingzhou Travel Ding Ruyi" series of works at the Dingzhou venue of the 8th Provincial Tourism Development Conference, the FireFly multi-functional modular fixed-wing drone, the Xiaofei No. 8 robot and other products that won the 5th Golden Reed Industrial Design Award were exhibited in a concentrated manner. Chen Dongliang, Vice President of China Industrial Design Association, Chen Shibin, Co-founder of Shenzhen Good Luck Brand Design Consulting Co., Ltd., Zhao Zhenyu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Cultural and Creative Supply Chain Committee of the Tourism Industry Chamber of Commerce of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Expert of the Night Economy Committee of the China Tourism Association, Du Tianyi, Founder of Hebei Yunbo Industrial Design Company, Wang Jialun, Creative Director of Hebei Quandian Brand Design Co., Ltd. and other guests shared their special topics and jointly explored new paths for the integrated development of design, creativity, technology and industry, injecting new vitality into the economic and social development of Dingzhou.

The Xinji branch venue was themed "Design Empowerment, Gathering Momentum and Win-win", highlighting the characteristics of the leather industry, and held keynote speeches, exhibitions, industrial design inspiration talks, project cooperation signing and other activities. More than 100 design innovation achievements in the fields of leather clothing, intangible cultural heritage and creative industries were displayed in the branch venue. Maxime Bracard, CEO of French Wallrus, gave a keynote speech on the theme of "Industrial Design Empowering Industry". During the event, Hebei Zhengnong Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd. and Xinji Jianwei Food Co., Ltd. signed cooperation agreements with Hebei Quandian Brand Design Co., Ltd. respectively; the guests visited Hebei Kingston Technology Co., Ltd., Hebei Shanggong Wine Co., Ltd., Xinji Famous Flowers and Fur Cultural Museum and other enterprises and units for on-site observation and exchange.

The Qinhuangdao branch venue held industrial design forums, new product launches, industrial design achievement exhibitions and other activities with the theme of "Design Empowerment and Intelligent Creation of the Future". Ren Yingli, a master's tutor at the School of Art and Design of Yanshan University, delivered a keynote speech, Zhang Liang, design director of Kangtai Medical Systems (Qinhuangdao) Co., Ltd., Du Tianyi, founder of Hebei Yunbo Industrial Design Co., Ltd., and Zhao Dongbao, founder of Beijing Yishushi Cultural and Creative Development Co., Ltd., exchanged and shared; China Railway Shanqiao Group Co., Ltd. and Qinhuangdao Shengcheng Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. respectively released their latest design products; at the Innovation Achievement Exhibition, a number of new products and technologies such as new energy vehicle charging equipment, photovoltaic environmental protection technology, medical health equipment, auto parts, and large-scale shipbuilding were unveiled. During the event, Sino-Swiss Design Port signed strategic cooperation agreements with Hebei Yunbo Industrial Design Co., Ltd., Beijing Yishushi Cultural and Creative Development Co., Ltd., Chengdu Huokelong New Media Technology Co., Ltd., and Qinhuangdao Beimu Industrial Design Co., Ltd. to help Qinhuangdao's manufacturing industry develop with high quality.

The Shijiazhuang branch venue held industrial design exhibitions, footwear design competitions, summit forums and other activities with the theme of "Design Empowerment and Innovation for the Future". The industrial design exhibition focused on 46 design masterpieces from 18 enterprises and units including the national industrial design center, specialized and new "little giants", manufacturing champions and colleges and universities in Shijiazhuang, covering intelligent equipment, electronic information, medical health, power and emergency equipment, new energy and other fields. During the event, the winning works of the second "Jihua 3514 Cup" 3D Footwear Design Competition were announced, and a summit forum was organized. Design elites, industry experts and corporate representatives from all over the country discussed the opportunities, challenges and prospects of industrial design and digital development of footwear.

Since its launch on September 20, the 2024 Hebei International Industrial Design Week has achieved innovation and upgrading in multiple dimensions, focusing more on the overall pattern of coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and committed to deepening regional cooperation and promoting optimal resource allocation; deeply connecting with the construction needs of Xiongan New Area, and using the power of design to contribute to the high-standard and high-quality construction of the new area; strengthening the enabling role of design on the industry, helping Hebei's traditional industries to transform and upgrade and move towards the high end of the value chain; actively expanding internal and external exchanges, building an open cooperation platform, attracting global design resources to gather, accelerating the empowerment of regional industrial high-quality development, and achieving fruitful results. With the successful holding of various branch venues, the 2024 Hebei International Industrial Design Week came to a successful conclusion.
